Synopsis

Every day, Mr Grinling, the lighthouse keeper, rows out to his lighthouse, where he diligently cleans and polishes the light to ensure it shines brightly at night. His wife, Mrs Grinling, prepares a delicious lunch and sends it to him via a special cable system. However, a group of greedy seagulls begins to steal Mr Grinling's lunch mid-journey. The couple devises several clever plans to outwit the pesky birds, leading to humorous and inventive solutions to protect the lighthouse keeper's lunch.

Ronda Armitage is a much-loved author from New Zealand who now lives in England. She is best known for writing the delightful Lighthouse Keeper series, including 'The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch'. Ronda enjoys creating stories full of adventure and fun, often inspired by the seaside and her love of the coast.
