In late 1930s London, as war looms, Molly's mother refuses to let her evacuate, insisting she stay to help with the war effort. Facing the prospect of giving up her beloved dog, Bertie, Molly decides to run away. She stows away on a train to the countryside, where she meets two other runaways. Together, they navigate the challenges of their new reality, discovering the true meaning of home and friendship.
