In a distant land near the South Pole, a unique blue penguin is born. Despite feeling like a penguin, the others reject him for being different. Left alone, Blue Penguin dreams of a white whale and begins to sing. His song attracts a little penguin, leading to a budding friendship. As his melody spreads, the other penguins start to listen. Will Blue Penguin's song help him find his place among them?
