Synopsis

Helena, a physician's daughter, is deeply in love with Bertram, a nobleman who dismisses her due to her lower social status. After curing the King of France, she is granted Bertram's hand in marriage. However, Bertram refuses to accept her and sets seemingly impossible conditions: she must obtain his family ring and bear his child. Undeterred, Helena devises a clever plan to fulfil these demands, leading to unexpected twists and a resolution that challenges traditional notions of love and commitment.
