Polly is startled by a loud crash downstairs. Fearing it might be a monster or an alien, she discovers instead a small puffin with a broken wing. She and her mummy care for the puffin, whom they name Neil, in their seaside cottage. As Neil's wing heals, Polly realises she will have to say goodbye to her new friend. Will she ever see him again?
