Synopsis

Tia Valor, an 11-year-old who prefers working in her brother's auto shop over attending school, unexpectedly passes a test for an exclusive NASA programme. Under astronaut Leland Melvin's guidance, she joins a diverse team of young trainees preparing for a mission to an advanced space station. When a launch mishap leaves Tia and half her crew stranded in orbit without adult supervision, they must rely on their training, instincts, and teamwork to navigate the perils of space and find a way back home.

About the author

Leland Melvin is a former astronaut and engineer who travelled to space with NASA. Before becoming an astronaut, he was also a professional American football player. Leland loves inspiring young people to be curious about science and space. He is well known for sharing his amazing adventures in his book, 'Chasing Space'.
