Jacki's mother is gradually losing her hearing, and together they are learning sign language to maintain their close bond. As her mother's world becomes quieter, Jacki's remains filled with sound, especially during Music Appreciation Fridays at school. Jacki struggles with enjoying music when her mother can no longer hear it. Inspired by the author's childhood, this heartfelt story explores a young girl's journey to understand her mother's hearing loss and discover new ways to experience the world together.
