Synopsis

Upon the birth of Princess Aurora, a malevolent fairy, angered by her exclusion from the christening, curses the infant to die upon pricking her finger on a spinning wheel before her sixteenth birthday. A good fairy intervenes, altering the curse so that Aurora will instead fall into a deep sleep, only to be awakened by true love's kiss. Despite the kingdom's efforts to prevent the prophecy, Aurora succumbs to the curse. A century later, a brave prince discovers the sleeping princess and, with a kiss, breaks the spell, bringing joy back to the kingdom.
