Synopsis

Benji and Bel discover a dugong on a tropical beach who insists she's a mermaid. She shows them her 'mermaid' tail and sings a 'mermaid' song. While Benji is sceptical, Bel embraces the dugong's imaginative world. As they spend the day together, they learn about friendship, self-belief, and the importance of respecting others' identities. When it's time for the dugong to return to the sea, the children are left wondering—could she be a mermaid after all?
