Katy Caboose, weary of always trailing at the end of the noisy, smoky freight train, dreams of a peaceful life amidst nature. One day, a sudden accident detaches her from the train, sending her flying off the tracks. She lands between two trees in a serene countryside, finally finding the tranquillity she longed for.
About the author
Bill Peet was a wonderful storyteller and illustrator from America. He worked for many years at Disney, helping to create famous films like 'The Jungle Book' and '101 Dalmatians'. Bill also wrote and drew his own imaginative books, including favourites like 'The Wump World' and 'Capyboppy', which have delighted children for generations.
