The Little Red Hen finds a grain of wheat and asks her farmyard friends—a lazy rooster and a mischievous mouse—for help planting it. They refuse at every stage: planting, harvesting, milling, and baking. When the bread is ready, they eagerly want to eat it, but the hen decides to enjoy it herself, teaching them a lesson about the value of hard work and cooperation.
