Ivo, an orphan, joins the Hag of Dribble, Ulf the Troll, and Brian the Wizard on a mission to rescue Princess Mirella from the feared Ogre of Oglefort. Upon arrival, they discover the princess seeks transformation into a bird to escape an unwanted marriage, and the ogre is suffering from depression. Together, they aim to free Mirella from her oppressive family and restore the ogre's castle to its former glory.
