What is The Coldest Day in the Zoo about?
On the coldest Friday of the year, Melton Mowbray Zoo's heating fails. Unable to fix it immediately, head keeper Mr Pickles asks the staff to take their animals home for the weekend. This leads to a series of amusing and unexpected events, such as a penguin enjoying tea in Mr Pumbles' bed and a lion scaring off Mr Leaf's mother-in-law for years.
