What is The Big Balloon about?

Pip cherishes his big red balloon, but when it accidentally floats away and bursts, he is heartbroken. His friend Posy comes up with a creative way to lift his spirits, and together they discover new ways to have fun, learning that even when things go wrong, friends can make everything better.

About the author

Axel Scheffler is a much-loved illustrator, best known for bringing to life the characters in 'The Gruffalo' and many other picture books. He works closely with authors like Julia Donaldson to create colourful and fun illustrations that help stories jump off the page. Axel’s artwork is enjoyed by children all over the world.
