What is The Robot and the Bluebird about?

A lonely robot with a broken heart sits atop a scrap heap. One cold day, a weary bluebird lands on his shoulder, too tired to continue her journey south. The robot offers her shelter in the empty space where his heart used to be. Revitalised by her warmth and song, he carries her across snowy landscapes to the warm south. There, his strength finally fades, and he becomes a home for singing birds each year.
