About the author

Hiromasa Yonebayashi is a Japanese animator and film director. He helped create magical films at Studio Ghibli, including Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle and Ponyo. He directed The Secret World of Arrietty and When Marnie Was There, then made Mary and the Witch’s Flower. His colourful stories are full of imagination, friendship and adventure.
