About the author
Syd Hoff was an American author, illustrator and cartoonist who loved making children laugh. He wrote and illustrated more than 150 books, including the much-loved Danny and the Dinosaur and Sammy the Seal. His simple stories, cheerful pictures and playful characters have helped generations of young readers enjoy books and discover the fun of reading.
