What is The Word Eater about?

When a young man is cut by a splinter from a strange silver book, something terrifying begins to happen. Under the light of the full moon, he becomes the Word Eater, a monster that hunts through the streets devouring words. As each word disappears, so does the thing it names. Soon, the whole world is at risk of vanishing. Can the Librarian uncover the secret behind the strange book and stop the Word Eater before nothing is left?
