About the author

Elizabeth Yeats was an Irish artist, teacher and printer who loved helping people enjoy art and books. She wrote friendly guides such as Brushwork and Elementary Brushwork Studies, which taught children how to paint flowers and plants. She also helped run the Dun Emer and Cuala presses, where beautiful books, including works by her brother W. B. Yeats, were made.
