What is Inky the Octopus Based on a Real-Life Aquatic Escape! about?
Inky the octopus lives in an aquarium, but he dreams of the wide, open sea. One night, he squeezes through a small gap, travels along a drainpipe and slips into the ocean. Based on the real escape of an octopus from the National Aquarium of New Zealand, this lively picture book imagines Inky’s daring journey to freedom. A factual section at the end shares more about octopuses, their remarkable abilities and other aquatic escape artists.
