When the clock in the Magician’s House strikes thirteen, the Iron Boy at its top suddenly comes to life. He longs to become a real boy, but the Magician’s magic dust cannot change iron people. Sent aboard a flying saucer to the faraway Country of Zorn, the Iron Boy must travel to the Blue Mountains and find the magical waters of the Silver River. Along the way, he begins an exciting journey filled with wonder, danger and hope.

Sheila K. McCullagh was a British author who wrote many much-loved books for children. She is best known for creating the magical 'Puddle Lane' and 'Tim and the Hidden People' series, which have helped generations of children learn to read and explore exciting new worlds through stories.
