What is English Fairy Tales about?
From daring quests and enchanted castles to giants, talking beasts and wicked spells, this collection gathers forty-one traditional English fairy tales retold by F. A. Steel. Meet familiar favourites such as Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding-Hood and The Three Little Pigs, alongside less familiar stories including The Black Bull of Norroway, Nix Nought Nothing and The Red Ettin. Arthur Rackham’s atmospheric illustrations bring these magical, sometimes perilous adventures to life in a classic treasury of English folklore.
