What is When I Was a Pirate about?
Grandpa may now enjoy his rocking chair, but he remembers a time when he sailed the seven seas as a daring pirate. With his grandchildren listening, he describes whale songs, treasure maps, tall ships and adventures on the high seas. Soon, their imaginations carry them aboard his vessel, where every wave holds a new surprise. Told in lively rhyme, this warm picture book celebrates the joy of storytelling, the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren, and the memories families make together.
