What is How to Spot a Best Friend about?

On her first day of school, a little girl is determined to find a best friend. She believes she knows exactly what to look for: someone who shares a brand-new green crayon, helps when things go wrong and makes room for others. As she watches the children around her, she discovers that friendship is not just about grand gestures, but also kindness, generosity and having fun together. This gentle, imaginative story celebrates the many ways children can find—and be—a best friend.
