What is I Am Ray's Imaginary Friend about?
Ray loves his village, his friends and his family home, so he is horrified when he learns they must move away. To help him cope, Ray creates Jacob, an imaginary friend from the mysterious School for Imaginary Friends. Told in lively verse, Jacob accompanies Ray through worries, mischief and the challenge of settling into a new place. When Ray’s family welcomes a Ukrainian mother and her son, Ray begins to understand change, friendship and empathy—and Jacob wonders whether Ray still needs him.
