What is The Big Wide-Mouthed Frog about?
A cheerful frog with an enormous mouth hops through the countryside, proudly telling a kangaroo, koala, possum and emu all about his favourite food: flies. He asks each animal what they eat, but his boasting comes to an abrupt stop when he meets a hungry crocodile. Suddenly, the frog discovers that having a very wide mouth is not always an advantage. This lively traditional tale uses repetition, animal characters and plenty of humour to build suspense towards its clever ending.
