What is Six Crimson Cranes about?

Sixteen-year-old Princess Shiori of Kiata has forbidden magic—and little interest in her arranged marriage. When her powers are discovered, her stepmother curses Shiori’s six brothers, transforming them into cranes, and banishes her with a warning: every word she speaks will cost a brother’s life. Alone and unable to explain her plight, Shiori must break the curse, uncover a plot against the throne and face a dangerous dragon, a mysterious paper bird and the boy she was meant to marry.
