What is Mossflower about?

Long before Redwall Abbey became a place of peace, Mossflower Wood is ruled by Tsarmina, a cruel wildcat queen who seizes the throne and terrorises its woodland inhabitants. Martin, a brave young mouse, escapes imprisonment and joins forces with Gonff, a quick-witted mousethief, and other rebels. Together, they must unite the scattered creatures of Mossflower, seek help from the legendary warrior Boar, and rise against Tsarmina’s tyranny in a dangerous struggle for freedom.
