What is The Lonely Giant about?
A giant spends his days smashing mountains, uprooting trees and frightening away every creature in the forest. Before long, the woodland is silent, the animals have fled and the giant is terribly lonely. When a little yellow bird appears, he learns that keeping a friend captive cannot bring happiness. Realising the damage he has caused, the giant sets the bird free and begins to restore the forest. With patience, care and kindness, he hopes to bring back the trees, animals and birdsong.
