About the author
Jean de Brunhoff was a French writer and illustrator best known for creating Babar, the kind-hearted elephant. He wrote and drew The Story of Babar and several other much-loved Babar books. His colourful pictures and gentle storytelling have delighted children around the world, making Babar one of the most famous characters in children’s literature.
