Thomas’s dad warns him not to put his head through the railings in the park. To show Thomas what he means, Dad demonstrates — and promptly gets stuck! One by one, passers-by arrive with helpful suggestions, from an old lady and two men with dogs to mothers with babies, girls with skipping ropes and ten determined firemen. When Dad is finally freed, Thomas decides to demonstrate what happened. But will he end up needing rescuing too? A funny counting story full of repetition and surprises.
