What is The Goose Guards about?
In 387 BC, Rome is under attack by the fierce Gauls. Brutus, a trainee priest, is helping guard the Temple of Juno on the Capitol when the enemy army begins its siege. With Roman soldiers exhausted and the city in danger, Brutus and his friends must find a way to protect the temple. Their unlikely defenders may be noisy, feathered and easily distracted—but the sacred geese could hold the key to saving Rome. A lively historical adventure with plenty of dry humour.
