What is The other Alice about?

Midge is used to stories, especially the ones written by his missing sister, Alice. When a talking cat appears in her bedroom, he follows a trail of riddles into Alice’s secret book, The Museum of Unfinished Stories. There he meets characters who have escaped from its pages, along with villains determined to control the ending. With Gypsy and Piper, Midge must solve the mystery, rescue Alice and stop the story from becoming dangerously real.
