What is Free about?
When Boy and Grandad nurse a little bird back to health, Boy is delighted when it refuses to leave. The bird follows him everywhere, and Boy imagines it might be an eagle, an ostrich or even a bird of paradise. But Grandad knows the bird belongs in the wild. Together, they set off on an extraordinary journey through the rainforest to return their feathered friend to its natural home, where it can stretch its wings and fly free.
