In medieval Paris, Quasimodo lives alone in the bell tower of Notre Dame, hidden from the world by his cruel guardian, Judge Frollo. During the lively Festival of Fools, he meets Esmeralda, a brave and kind-hearted dancer who treats him with respect. When Frollo threatens Esmeralda and accuses her of a crime she did not commit, Quasimodo must find the courage to leave the cathedral and help his friend. Together, they face danger, injustice and a desperate struggle for freedom.
