What is Bernard about?
Bernard is a big, wild-looking hound, and the villagers are certain he wants to gobble them up. But Bernard is not hungry for people at all. He has his heart set on something much sweeter: a jar of strawberry jam. As he tries to show everyone that he is friendly, his frightening appearance keeps causing trouble. Told in lively rhyming verse, this funny picture book explores mistaken fears, kindness and the surprising truth about a misunderstood dog.
