What is The emperor and the seed about?
The emperor must choose someone to inherit his throne, so he gives every child in the kingdom a seed and sets them a challenge: grow the finest plant. Ling cares for his seed carefully, but nothing appears in his pot. While the other children arrive with tall, colourful plants, Ling fears he has failed. Yet the emperor is not looking for the biggest bloom. When Ling presents his empty pot, an unexpected truth is revealed about honesty, courage and being true to yourself.
