What is The doomsday club about?

Jack and Conan’s friendship is falling apart when detention takes a terrifying turn. Outside their school, a monstrous creature emerges from a glowing portal and disappears into the crumbling mansion of the mysterious Mr Kilroe. Along with Yash and Jerry, the boys sneak inside to uncover the truth. But the house holds more than strange secrets: otherworldly horrors are waiting in the shadows. To survive, the unlikely team must work together—even while Jack and Conan struggle not to come to blows.
