What is Only you can save mankind about?
Twelve-year-old Johnny is playing Only You Can Save Mankind, a computer game where he must destroy an invading alien fleet. Just as he is about to achieve a record score, the aliens surrender and ask for his protection. Johnny soon discovers that the game’s enemies are frightened, intelligent beings with rights of their own. As the boundary between the game and real life begins to blur, Johnny must decide whether saving mankind means listening to those it has labelled as enemies.
