What is Smudge's day out about?
Smudge is a lively Swaledale lamb who longs to discover what lies beyond the fence. One day, he slips away from his mother and sister and sets off on an exciting adventure. But the world outside the field is full of surprises: a barking dog, a huge bull, a noisy coach and a sudden spring snowstorm. As Smudge tries to find his way home, he learns that exploring can be thrilling—but home and family are never far from his thoughts.
