What is The Easter story about?
When Jesus rides into Jerusalem, cheering crowds welcome him as a king. But the priests and officials are worried by his teaching and begin to plot against him. Jesus shares a final meal with his disciples before he is arrested, put to death and laid in a tomb. Then, on the third day, Mary Magdalene discovers the stone rolled away and hears joyful news: Jesus is alive. This sensitive retelling introduces young readers to the central events and message of Easter.
