What is Dogs in space: the amazing true story of Belka and Strelka about?

In 1960, two stray dogs from Moscow, Belka and Strelka, were chosen for an extraordinary mission. After tough training, rocket simulations and space-suit practice, the brave dogs were launched into orbit aboard a Soviet spacecraft. They returned safely to Earth, becoming famous across the USSR and around the world. Their successful flight showed that living creatures could survive a journey into space and helped pave the way for the first human spaceflight less than a year later.
