What is A Dusty donkey detour about?

Merle and Pearl are still being held captive by their squirrelnapper, while the Gomez family, Justin and Sadie race to rescue them. But the search takes an unexpected turn when the squirrels are carried across the Holy Land on Dusty, a talking donkey. As their captor watches closely, Merle and Pearl meet a lively group of talking animals and find themselves caught up in a series of funny surprises. Will their rescuers find them before Dusty’s detour leads them even farther away?
