What is Grandpa's garden about?
Billy helps Grandpa transform a bare patch of earth into a flourishing vegetable garden. Through the changing seasons, they dig, sow seeds, water seedlings and protect the plants from slugs and other hungry visitors. Billy learns that growing food takes patience, care and teamwork, and celebrates when the garden produces a colourful harvest of fruit and vegetables. Alongside the story, practical notes introduce children to seasonal gardening tasks and encourage them to discover the wonder of watching plants grow.
