What is Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball about?

Amelia Fang, a spirited ten-year-old vampire, prefers adventures with her pet pumpkin, Squashy, and friends Florence the yeti and Grimaldi the reaper over attending her parents' annual Barbaric Ball. When the spoiled Prince Tangine captures Squashy, Amelia and her friends embark on a daring rescue mission. Along the way, they uncover surprising secrets about their dark and glitter-phobic world of Nocturnia, challenging their perceptions and strengthening their bonds of friendship.
