What is War and peace about?
Set in aristocratic Russia during the Napoleonic Wars, this child-friendly retelling introduces little readers to the world of War and Peace. Families, friends and soldiers face exciting journeys, changing fortunes and the challenge of war. Along the way, love and friendship help people find courage and hope. The story is told through twelve carefully chosen words, each paired with a soft, handmade felt scene that hints at Leo Tolstoy’s vast classic without retelling every part of the original novel.
