What is The golden hare about?
Meara longs to see extraordinary animals, so when Grandad tells her about the legendary Golden Hare, she eagerly joins his search. This magical creature can change shape, hear the tiniest sounds and leap to the moon in two-and-a-half jumps. As they explore woods, fields, underground places and the shore, Meara discovers goldfinches, frogs, herons, butterflies and other wildlife. Although the hare remains elusive, their adventure opens her eyes to the wonders of nature and inspires her to record what she sees in a special nature journal.
