Synopsis

In 2008 Anaheim, Marianne, a socially awkward and self-critical teen, grapples with her inner turmoil. Preferring solitude over the annual Goth gathering at Disneyland, she is content in her isolation. However, her world shifts when a charismatic new neighbour, Patrick, takes an interest in her. As their relationship develops, Marianne struggles to reconcile her self-destructive tendencies and hidden Goth identity with the possibility of genuine connection and self-acceptance.
