The Singing Mermaid is lured away from her ocean home by the promise of fame and fortune at Sam Sly's circus. However, she soon discovers that life in a tank is not as glamorous as she imagined. With the help of her new circus friends, she devises a daring plan to escape and return to the freedom of the sea.

Julia Donaldson is a much-loved British author who has written many wonderful books for children. She is best known for creating 'The Gruffalo', a story about a clever mouse and a magical creature. Julia often works with illustrator Axel Scheffler to bring her fun and imaginative stories to life.
