What is The Frank and Bert series by Chris Naylor-Ballesteros about?
Chris Naylor-Ballesteros began the Frank and Bert series in 2022, following the everyday adventures of Frank, a fox, and Bert, a bear, who are best friends. Their games gradually become opportunities to learn about patience, confidence, honesty, forgiveness and courage: from hide-and-seek and wobbly bike rides to a disrupted picnic, football complications and facing a fear of frogs. Designed for children aged around two to five, the books suit listeners and early readers who enjoy animal characters, visual humour and stories about friendship. Gentle mishaps, mild peril and moments of nervousness are present, but there is no serious frightening or upsetting content.
